My shows have crossed genres, from the darkness of THE LISTENER to the romance of HALLMARK Christmas movies; from the period drama of MURDOCH MYSTERIES to the contemporary adventure of HUDSON & REX; from the kids’ paranormal series THE ZACK FILES to the criminal docudramatic series OUTLAW BIKERS; from David Suzuki’s crucial exploration of THE SACRED BALANCE of our planet to a female martial artist’s encounters with the DEADLY ARTS around the world. 

After a decade of writing, producing and directing acclaimed social issue documentaries and docudramas in Vancouver, and after the release of my feature film THE BURNING SEASON, I based myself in Toronto doing the work of the Actors’ Studio with an important acting teacher.  I’m most proud of being an ‘actors director’ - someone whose direction actors can trust because they feel safe and supported.  

Directing the 200th episode of the international hit series MURDOCH MYSTERIES capped a run of 24 episodes over 12 seasons.  More recently, while continuing to direct on HUDSON & REX, I acted as an executive producer launching the BYUtv family series, RUBY AND THE WELL, and went on to direct 14 episodes over its four magical seasons.

Having Canadian and Irish citizenship I’m able to travel and work with both a Canadian and EU passport.  Shoots over the last thirty years have taken me across Canada, into the Arctic and around the world to Brazil, Thailand, Okinawa, South Africa, Japan, India, France, England, United States, Holland, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Ireland, Belgium, Turkey, Cuba, Hong Kong, Argentina, Russia, Estonia and Ukraine.
